Now you can use your computer style 5.1 surround sound speakers with any digital or analog audio device with the Area 5.1 Digital Surround Sound Decoder from NuclearAV. This is not a simulated surround sound adapter, this is a true 5.1 Digital Surround Sound Decoder capable of decoding many of today's popular DVD, HDTV, Blu-ray, and gaming system's audio signals, and delivering true discrete 5.1 surround sound channels.
Unlike simulated surround sound that distributes 2 channel stereo over extra speakers, discrete surround sound has a completely separate audio channel for each speaker allowing the system to place distinct sounds at any point of the room for an incredible theater-like sound experience. Now you can hear the killer sneaking up behind you before he appears on the screen, feel the fighter jets roar around you as they lock into a dog fight, be truly immersed in the big game as if you were actually there!
The 5.1 Digital Surround Sound Decoder utilizes a 24-bit audio DSP, 96 KHz digital receivers, and 192 KHz/24bit ADC and DAC with support for decoding Dolby Digital, AC-3, Dolby Pro Logic, DTS, PCM and many other popular digital audio formats.
It easily to connects to HDTV, Blu-Ray, HD Cable Box, PS3, XBOX, and other digital devices via two optical (TOSLINK) input connections or it's single coaxial digital connector. It even features an AUX stereo audio input for connecting any device that uses a 3.5mm headphone style jack, like an iPod, MP3 player, or laptop!
True 5.1 surround sound output is then pumped to any computer style surround sound speakers that use the standard AC97 5.1 triple 3.5mm "headphone jack style" connectors (center/subwoofer jack, front left/right jack, rear left/right jack).
